Delete your Dualove account

Three taps in the app, or one email if you no longer have it. Either way, your profile leaves discovery straight away.

From the app

The fastest route, and the only one that waits for nothing on our side.

  1. Open your profile

Third tab at the bottom, then settings.

  2. Pick the Delete my account entry

It sits at the bottom of the list. The screen spells out what is about to go.

  3. Confirm

One optional question about why you are leaving, then the confirmation. Your profile leaves discovery there and then.

Without the app

Email hello@dualove.app from the address on your account, or tell us the phone number you signed up with.

We check the request really comes from the account holder, start the deletion and confirm it by email. We usually answer within one working day, and within a month at the latest.

Nothing needs installing: an email is enough, even if you have uninstalled the app or changed phone.

What goes, what stays

Erased

Your profile, photos, bio, location, likes, matches and conversations. Your photos also disappear from the conversations of your former matches.

Kept apart

The snapshots attached to a report and the record of moderation decisions, for safety and our legal duties, plus the accounting references of your purchases.

Your subscription

Dualove Plus is cancelled in the App Store or Google Play, never with us: deleting your account does not stop the renewal. Do both.

Thirty days to change your mind

Your account goes invisible immediately, but nothing is erased for thirty days: logging back in during that time cancels the deletion and everything returns.

After that it is final: photos, messages, likes and matches are erased and the account is anonymised. There is no way to bring it back.

The delay exists for a simple reason: a decision made on a bad evening should not be irreversible.

Only after a break?

In your discovery preferences, turn off the Show me to others switch: your profile leaves discovery, your matches and conversations stay, and you come back whenever you want.
